Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outpatient Services

COMTREA South, Hillsboro, High Ridge and Suburban offices provide outpatient treatment planning, referral, recovery planning, after-care, individual and group counseling for clients and their families experiencing substance use and abuse.

Therapy is based upon the disease concept of Alcoholism/Substance Dependency. We know that Substance Dependency is a disease that adversely affects the mind, body and spirit of the abuser. We understand that it also significantly impacts one’s family and friends.

For persons seeking treatment, our outpatient staff can provide a multilevel approach depending on clinical need. We have professional staff certified and credentialed to provide individual, group and family therapy in our South, High Ridge and Suburban offices.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program is eight weeks in length, with individual, group and family therapy as well as group and family education. The program provides services a minimum of eight to ten hours per week per client.

Our Supported Recovery Program offers fifteen weeks of treatment, at average of four hours per week of individual, group and family therapy and family education.

Clients can also receive individual therapy and group counseling for co occurring disorders of mental health and substance abuse/dependence in a specialized treatment track. Case management, referral and linkage services, nursing and psychiatric services are also provided based on client choice and clinical need. The medical staff is skilled and trained in providing comprehensive care and evidenced based practice for those persons experiencing substance abuse and co occurring disorders and in specific medication management techniques for those special needs.

Priority referral to the Athena Residential Program may be facilitated by the outpatient staff if needed.
